Flowers & Braided Updos

I’ve been a very absentee mother to this baby blog of mine. A couple of weeks ago I started this insanely incredible new job, but it completely threw my schedule for a loop and I am just now finally able to feel like I’m back in control of my day again.

My wedding is just 82 days away, and I am literally beside myself with excitement. And even more exciting, thanks to Somme, my skin is clearing up quite nicely. I actually made a video update, but when I went to upload it it was really freaking blurry. What the heck. I’m going to remake it later today with hopes that it finally works, but all you need to know is that I’m 3 weeks into my Somme skincare regimen and I am THRILLED with the results so far.

If you watched my first video, I said that their sunscreen was a little heavy for my everyday use, but ever since the weather has gotten so hot out, I refuse to leave without it under my makeup. It’s quickly becoming my favorite skincare product for Summer.

Yesterday my fiance and I took our engagement shoot with our fantastic photographer Marta Locklear. I wanted to do something kind of different, so we went to the woods, he wore a black suit and I wore a full length black dress and we somehow ended up with the perfect juxtaposition of rustic and romantic. I always wear my hair down, so I wanted to do something different and ended up with this braided up-do that I created on a whim. It was insanely easy to do, and if you want instructions, I would be more than happy to show you. Seriously, on a skill level, this was like a 1.

My new job involves a daily overdose of breathtaking flowers. I seriously walk around and snap instagram pics all day, because I can’t seem to get over how happy all these beautiful flowers make me.

Oh, and most exciting of all, I found THE BEST lip stain of all time. I cannot wait to share it with you! Seriously, this product will forever change the way you think of lip products. I’ll share that with you later this week- promise.

What’s new with you? Would you care about a video tutorial of how to do that updo? Let me know!
