Planning this wedding has been my greatest joy and my greatest struggle. I told myself at the beginning of this process that I would stay true to my heart and to my creativity. I am only getting married once in my life, so I promised myself that I would explore every idea that I had. But when you’re as passionate and opinionated as I am, promising to give every idea a chance means that you’re either going to be incredibly inspired or utterly exhausted. I realized early on that I needed to come up with a system that helped me filter through things I loved and things I hated without spending a lot of time on the things that wouldn’t actually work. The system is easy: if something about the image catches your eye within the first 5 seconds, study it and figure out why it’s inspiring you, and if you don’t stop and stare, move on.
Here are some images that, for one reason or another, captured me for more than five seconds. Whether it be texture, color, fabrics, depth or flow, something about these images completely move and inspire me and make me excited about exploring each image deeper and seeing how I can apply what I love to the final vision for the wedding.
