I went to New York for the first time when I was 12. I remember the way the streets looked. I remember wanting to be there without ever having to leave. When I decided to leave California and move to the East Coast with my family two and a half years ago, the end goal was always to get back to that place that inspired me the most. I need to live in a place that challenges me and makes me be someone better than I am on my own, and my soon to be husband needs those things too. New York makes me feel something. I’ve always said that when I’m in New York, I see colors differently than I see them anywhere else. I push myself to think new ideas when I’m there, and that doesn’t happen anywhere except for in that place.
New York is a big risk. And it’s a risk that we absolutely cannot wait to take.
See you soon.
