My Mom taught me something very important at a very young age: give. and if you cannot give financially, then give of your talents. But regardless, give. So it isn’t surprising to anyone that I love anything that supports a cause. Even more than that, I love any time a woman (or in this case women) use their time and talents to do something really creative and give back to something they truly believe in. These are the kind of women that inspire me.
All that to say that when an old friend of mine contacted me about a company her and her sister started to help support a charity that works to end sex-slavery, I knew that I wanted to take part. Let me introduce you to sisterly ties:
Based out of Houston, Sisterly ties was founded by sisters who love to create things and wanted to find a way to give back. So what they ended up creating were no crease hair ties in really awesome colors. Guys, I am OBSESSED with these ties! I love what they’re supporting, so I bought the pink pack (obviously), and they haven’t come out of my hair since. Also, they are only $5 for a pack of 5. Too good, right? Also, these are perfect to use during a workout. Your hair doesn’t budge at all!Perfect for tying off my braids.
These sweet sisters wanted to do a giveaway for our readers, so they sent me this perfect pack for Summer that one of you will win!
Let’s be real, I strongly encourage all of you to stop by their store and pick some up and support their cause, but in the mean time, you should also enter to win here! Here’s how: like Sisterly Ties and A Lover’s Anthology on facebook and leave a comment below saying that you’ve done it! The winner will be randomly selected on Wednesday, June 20!
Remember: women that gives of their talents and time are women that are meant to be respected. To the Lowenfield sisters, I appreciate & respect what you guys are doing, and I am so
impressed obsessed with your creative outlet.
